Medical Store Depot, Lahore

Infrastructure Development Authority of the Punjab

Medical Store Depot Lahore is a central warehouse facility responsible for the bulk procurement and storage of medicines and medical equipment for the provincial health department. The depot supports supply and distribution requirements for major federal and provincial health programs, ensuring timely availability of essential medical items across the healthcare system.

The depot caters to multiple national and international health initiatives including IRMNCH, Expanded Program for Immunization, CDC, TB Control Program and supplies received through WHO and other international donations, particularly during emergency and disaster situations. Due to the large volume of medicines and equipment received, the facility plays a critical role in maintaining uninterrupted healthcare services at the provincial level.

The project includes construction of new storage barracks and upgradation of existing barracks to significantly increase storage capacity and improve inventory management. These upgrades are aimed at enhancing handling efficiency, improving storage conditions and ensuring proper preservation of medicines and medical supplies. The improved infrastructure will strengthen logistics support for health programs and emergency response operations.
