Competitive and Livable City of Karachi is a large-scale urban development and governance reform project being implemented under the Sindh Local Government Department. The project is designed to improve the livability, competitiveness and sustainability of Karachi by strengthening municipal services, urban infrastructure and institutional capacity of local governments. The initiative focuses on addressing long standing challenges related to urban management, service delivery and city competitiveness.

The project emphasizes improvements in core urban services such as water supply, sanitation, solid waste management, urban mobility and public spaces, along with strengthening planning, financial management and regulatory frameworks. By enhancing coordination among city institutions and improving service delivery mechanisms, the project aims to create a more resilient, inclusive and economically competitive urban environment for Karachi’s residents and businesses.

The CLICK project represents a strategic effort to modernize urban governance and infrastructure in Karachi through targeted investments and institutional reforms. It supports long term urban planning, improved municipal performance and enhanced quality of life, contributing to sustainable city development under the provincial local government framework.
