Air Pollution Persists in Lahore as City Ranks Among World’s Most Polluted

Air pollution levels in Lahore remain critically high, placing the city among the world’s most polluted cities, according to the latest air quality data. The overall Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 218, while several areas exceeded the hazardous level of 500.At IRC Lahore, AQI reached 517, followed by Cantt (376), DHA (326), Barki Road (293), and Bedian Road (175).Health experts have advised citizens to wear masks and increase water intake to minimize health risks.The city’s temperature was recorded at 13°C, with a minimum of 9°C and a maximum of 23°C expected. Winds are blowing at 3 km/h, and the Met Office has forecast no rainfall in the next 24 hours, with smog conditions likely to persist.
