Punjab Approves Rs59 Billion for New Development Projects

The Punjab Planning & Development Board has approved Rs59 billion for multiple development schemes during the 51st Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) meeting for FY 2025–26. The session was chaired by Dr. Naeem Rauf, Chairman P&D Board Punjab.Approved projects include:Rs6.73 billion for missing facilities in colleges under the Chief Minister’s ProgrammeRs14.59 billion for establishing a Climate Observatory in PunjabRs7 billion for a new teaching hospital in SialkotRs9.15 billion, Rs9.14 billion, and Rs6 billion for Judicial Towers I, II, and III in LahoreRs2.32 billion for additional judicial infrastructure in LahoreRs1.16 billion for the revised Strategic Planning Unit in C&W DepartmentRs2.75 billion for providing and upgrading missing facilities in PSIC industrial estatesSenior officials including the Secretary P&D Board, Chief Economist, and departmental representatives attended the meeting.
