Flood Notification

Provisional Disaster Management Authority

The Flood Notification Project by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority PDMA is an initiative designed to improve early warning systems and protect communities from flood related risks. The project focuses on issuing timely alerts, monitoring vulnerable areas and coordinating with government agencies to minimize the impact of heavy rainfall, river flooding and seasonal storms. It aims to ensure that accurate information reaches citizens quickly so they can take preventive measures and stay safe.

The initiative includes real time monitoring, updated reporting mechanisms, mobile alert systems, coordination with local administrations and public awareness campaigns. It also integrates data from weather agencies, irrigation departments and district authorities to provide reliable and area specific flood warnings. These measures help reduce damages, improve emergency response and strengthen community preparedness during monsoon seasons.

PDMA is implementing this project with a strong focus on public safety, disaster risk reduction and efficient communication. By enhancing early warning capabilities and supporting local response systems, the Flood Notification Project plays an essential role in protecting lives and property across the province.
