Punjab Approves Rs. 1.5 Billion Road Project

The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) has approved several major development projects worth Rs. 14 billion during a meeting chaired by P&D Board Chairman Dr. Naeem Rauf in Lahore. Among the key decisions, Rs. 1.5 billion was allocated for the construction of a 31-kilometer road from Kahoti to Kalyari. The meeting also approved Rs. 7.78 billion for the Punjab Socio-Economic Household Comprehensive Survey under the PSER initiative, and Rs. 4.72 billion to enhance the capacity of nursing and allied health professionals. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz approved a position paper for creating posts under an autonomous program. Additional approvals included incentive allowances for government employees, staffing for Phase II of the Digital Transformation project, and an extension for Sialkot’s flood protection works.
