The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has launched a major restoration initiative to revive the historic charm of Bagh-i-Jinnah (Lawrence Gardens). The project focuses on rebuilding the iconic Rose Garden and reintroducing rare flower species. The effort began after PHA Managing Director Raja Mansoor Ahmad visited the garden and ordered immediate rehabilitation work. Bagh-i-Jinnah once showcased nearly 200 rose varieties, and currently preserves 165. To expand the collection, PHA is adding 35 more varieties, including Daim Rose, F1 Golden, Gold Medal, Queen, Sun Gold, Black Tiger, Tibet and more.Meanwhile, the Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) continues citywide cleanliness and anti-smog operations. CEO Babar Sahib Din inspected sanitation points across Lahore, reviewed worker attendance, and directed teams to clear commercial areas before 8am daily, urging public cooperation to maintain a clean environment.
