Punjab Installs 55,000 Free Solar Systems Under Ongoing Scheme

Punjab has released a progress report on its free solar panel scheme, confirming that 55,000 out of the target 94,000 solar systems have been installed across the province — marking 58% completion. Lahore leads with 11,811 installations out of 16,588 units. Multan has installed 8,953 systems, Rawalpindi 9,393, and Sahiwal nearly completed its quota with 6,219 units. Faisalabad has crossed 9,000 installations out of 11,000 allocated systems. In contrast, Bahawalpur shows slow progress with only 2,670 out of 9,509 units installed. Sargodha installed 5,990 out of 6,749. The lowest progress was recorded in the Gujranwala Division, where only 785 systems were installed. Meanwhile, installation has not yet begun in the D.G. Khan region.
