The 10th and 11th Avenue Projects are major road development initiatives by the Capital Development Authority designed to expand Islamabad’s north south and east west connectivity. Both avenues are planned within the city’s structured grid to support smoother traffic movement between residential sectors, commercial zones and major highways. Their development aims to reduce congestion on existing routes and provide new corridors that improve accessibility across the capital. The projects include construction of new roadways, intersections, service lanes, drainage systems, pedestrian pathways and street lighting. The planned alignment of the avenues is designed to create efficient travel links between Srinagar Highway, IJP Road and key central sectors. By distributing traffic more evenly and offering new mobility options, the avenues will support long term urban growth and provide practical relief for daily commuters.
