The 7th Population and Housing Census Digital Census 2023 is a national initiative designed to collect accurate demographic, social and housing data through modern digital tools. Conducted across Pakistan, the census uses tablet based data collection, real time monitoring and secure digital systems to ensure faster, more reliable and transparent results. It aims to support effective planning, policy making and resource allocation at both federal and provincial levels.
The project includes digital enumeration, training of field staff, use of GIS based mapping, household listing and automated data verification systems. These tools help capture detailed information about population size, household structures, education levels, living conditions and other key indicators. By shifting from manual forms to a fully digital process, the census reduces errors, enhances transparency and speeds up data processing for timely national reporting.
