Lahore: Citizens across Lahore are facing rising prices as fruits and vegetables are reportedly being sold above the official government rate list in several markets. Shopkeepers claim they are receiving items from wholesale markets at higher prices than the DC rate, making it difficult for them to sell at official prices. According to market rates shared by citizens, onions fixed at Rs. 100 are being sold up to Rs. 200, Iranian tomatoes fixed at Rs. 180 are being sold around Rs. 300, while ginger, capsicum, coriander, and other vegetables are also being sold above notified rates.
