IHC Lifts Property Transaction Ban in Islamabad Areas

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has lifted the ban on buying, selling, registering, and transferring properties in Shah Allah Ditta, Sangjani, Sarai Kharbooza, and other areas. The court ruled that the December 2023 restrictions lacked proper authority and were therefore invalid. Property transactions can now resume legally, though authorities remain empowered to take action against illegal housing schemes, unauthorized construction, and unlawful land use, ensuring regulated development across the capital.
