Islamabad: Pakistan is preparing to train and deploy around 400,000 skilled workers for large-scale infrastructure and development projects in Saudi Arabia linked to the FIFA World Cup 2034. The initiative focuses on construction, aviation, tourism, and other service sectors. This move is part of a broader strategy to boost overseas employment opportunities and remittances. Pakistan has a long history of sending workers to Gulf countries, with over 762,000 registered for jobs abroad in 2025 alone.
