Lahore: Residents of Gulshan Colony on Niaz Road are facing severe water shortages as the local filtration plant has remained non-functional for over one and a half years. The prolonged shutdown has forced citizens to purchase drinking water from private suppliers at higher costs. Locals claim that multiple complaints have been submitted to concerned authorities, but no action has been taken so far. With rising temperatures, the water shortage is becoming more critical, affecting daily life and increasing financial burden on residents. Citizens have urged authorities to immediately repair and restore the filtration plant to ensure the provision of safe and clean drinking water in the area.
