Maryam Nawaz announces 1,000-bed children’s hospital in Punjab

Lahore: Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif announced the construction of a 1,000-bed children’s hospital at Nawaz Sharif Medical Hospital, with work set to begin in March. Speaking at the CM Children Heart Surgery Program, she pledged strict oversight to safeguard public funds from corruption and improve paediatric healthcare across Punjab. She also highlighted additional initiatives, including free medicines worth Rs 100bn, provision of free stroke injections, and Rs 3bn allocated for cancer treatment.
