Maryam Nawaz distributes laptops and scholarships at University of Gujrat ceremony

Gujrat: Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif attended a ceremony at the University of Gujrat where she distributed laptops and Honhaar scholarships to students across Gujranwala Division. A total of 2,904 students received laptops and 843 were awarded scholarships in the division, including 846 laptops and 268 scholarships for UoG students. She joined students in singing the national anthem and patriotic songs, appreciated student performances, and reviewed a documentary on the laptop journey. Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat briefed participants on the scheme, stating that 30,000 students are benefiting in phase one, while 20,000 additional scholarships are being awarded in phase two to eligible students up to the eighth semester.
