Lahore: Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari said more than 300,000 citizens attended the three-day Ramazan Bachat Festival, reflecting strong public confidence in the government’s relief initiatives. Over 150 stalls offered up to 20% discounts on essential commodities, with no complaints reported regarding prices or quality. She stated that cleanliness arrangements under the “Suthra Punjab” campaign remained exemplary despite heavy footfall. The government has also launched free iftar for 2,000 individuals daily in every tehsil and increased ration card assistance from Rs 3,000 to Rs 10,000 under the Nigahban Ramazan Card programme. Across Punjab, 160 special centres and 74 Ramazan bazaars are fully operational to provide relief during the holy month.
