Lahore: Residents of WASA Lahore’s Fatahgarh Sub-Division staged a strong protest against severe sewerage overflow and contaminated water supply in the area. Protesters accused WASA of failing to implement a written agreement signed a year ago with representatives of the People’s Youth Organization.Demonstrators gave a 24-hour ultimatum to WASA and district administration, warning of a siege of WASA offices if issues remain unresolved. Streets in Fatahgarh resemble ponds due to stagnant sewage water, while foul-smelling contaminated water is reportedly mixing into supply lines, posing serious health risks.Residents claim skin and stomach diseases are spreading rapidly and have demanded immediate restoration of clean water and proper sewerage management.
