Severe Water Shortage Looms in Multiple Karachi Areas for Four Days

KARACHI: Several areas of Karachi are expected to face severe water shortages for four days starting Monday as the Karachi Water and Sanitation Corporation (KWSC) carries out urgent repair work on a major 84-inch transmission line in Gulshan-e-Iqbal. Due to leakage repairs, water supply from Dhabeji will be reduced, causing a shortfall of around 200 million gallons per day. Areas including Clifton, DHA, Korangi, Malir, Landhi, Gulshan, Saddar, and Lyari are likely to be affected. KWSC said the repairs aim to stabilize the water system ahead of Ramazan and advised residents to use water carefully.
