Job Description

Communication and Works Department Government of the Punjab is inviting applications for the position of Senior Manager Infrastructure Design under the Strategic Planning Unit SPU. The role is responsible for planning design review and technical oversight of public sector infrastructure projects including roads utilities and urban infrastructure ensuring efficiency sustainability and compliance with approved standards.

Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting the General Manager Engineering in design matters.

Responsibilities will include development of design checklists, data management systems, drafting standards and quality assurance for all design components.

Responsible for managing workflow between departments and disciplines to ensure timely delivery of design deliverables.

Responsible for design co-ordination of all Infrastructure related design activities including Structures, Geotech, Roads, Drainage, Water Supply, Sewerage and drafting as well as to ensure co-ordination with all other disciplines within the design team.

Responsible for coordinating drawings between various disciplines and removal of clashes.

Requirements

Minimum 16 years education in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline

At least 12 years relevant post qualification experience

Proven experience in infrastructure planning and design review

Strong understanding of public sector infrastructure standards and practices

Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary technical teams
