New Tariff Implemented for Solar Power Export Units

Lahore: A revised tariff for electricity exported under solar net metering has come into effect from this month. Following approval by National Electric Power Regulatory Authority, the export unit price for solar consumers has been reduced by Rs. 0.66 per unit, setting the new rate at Rs. 25.32 per unit. Lahore Electric Supply Company has issued instructions to implement billing under the revised tariff, with immediate applicability to current billing cycles. Officials said the move aims to maintain system balance and improve financial discipline. Solar consumers have been advised to review upcoming bills for adjustments under the new rates.
