The Department of Architectural Engineering and Design at UET Lahore was established in 2001 as the first dedicated academic unit of this discipline in Pakistan. The department delivers an applied, multidisciplinary education that connects building design intent with engineering systems, performance, and constructability. Its academic direction is shaped around the integration of structural engineering, energy efficient design and analysis, and the coordinated design of building services including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Through undergraduate and graduate pathways, students are prepared for professional roles that require both design understanding and engineering depth within building and project delivery environments.
