Punjab to Launch Electric Bus Service in Five More Cities

The Punjab government has announced plans to expand its electric bus network by launching the service in five additional cities across the province. According to an official notice issued by the Punjab Transport Company, electric buses will soon be introduced in Rajanpur, Gujar Khan, Bahawalpur, Toba Tek Singh, and Rahim Yar Khan. The buses will be equipped with modern facilities including air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and accessibility features for persons with disabilities, making the service both comfortable and inclusive. Authorities say the initiative is part of the provincial government’s efforts to promote eco-friendly and sustainable public transport. While the announcement confirms the expansion, details regarding routes, fares, and exact launch timelines have not yet been shared.
